Guilt → education → switch → proof → pride emotional arc

Theme — guilt-to-pride-arc

The five-stage emotional journey customers describe: (1) Guilt — “I feel so guilty pouring that kibble”, “poisoning my best friend”; (2) Education — “after reading about ingredients I can’t go back”; (3) Switch — the actual purchase; (4) Visible proof — perfect logs, shinier coat, more energy; (5) Pride — “feel like a real good dog parent.”

Copy should meet customers wherever they are in this arc. Top-of-funnel = guilt or education stage; middle = switch consideration; bottom = proof + pride. Identity framing (“good dog parent,” “responsible”) works better than feature framing once they’ve felt the guilt.

DO NOT lead with pride/identity for a first-touch ad — they haven’t earned it yet and it lands as smug. Lead with the pain or the question; let pride follow proof.
